Petrokimia Gresik develop VR multiplayer mode integrated with DCS simulator to enhance collaboration and engagement
The adoption of VR multiplayer with DCS simulators for training leads to several impactful outcomes such as increase safety, enhanced collaboration, and skill enhancement. Employees achieve an average Confidence Level (CL) of 80.29%, alongside a Return on Training Investment (ROTI) of 1,320%.

Problem:
There is a significant challenge in training field and DCS operators to work collaboratively. Traditional training can be siloed, limiting real-time interaction and engagement between different operator teams, which is critical for effective plant operations especially in NPK Reaksi. This lack of integrated training results in inefficiencies, potential safety risks, and decreased productivity.
Solution:
With this issue, Machine Vision offer a Virtual Reality (VR) multiplayer mode that is integrated with a Distributed Control System (DCS) simulator. This technology allows both field operators and DCS operators to train in a shared virtual environment, mimicking real-world scenarios. The VR system offers a dynamic and immersive learning experience, enabling operators to interact in real-time.
